Dear Bereaved Parent,

I remember wondering about the purpose of my kids’ lives on this earth. Did they have a purpose having lived only 9 and 12 years? Yes, their lives have purpose and have influenced the lives of everyone who knew them.

We are all connected. That purpose may be as simple as their contribution to the influence we all wield in our every encounter. Or it can be more complex.

You get to choose.

I have arrived at a place of appreciating their lives for what they were. I am grateful that they lived, no matter how long, and that they live on inside of me.
