Nikki wrote “A Kid with Cancer” to help other kids going through cancer when she learned that she might not get the opportunity to grow up. A typical nine-year-old child, she lived an atypical life.
Nikki left behind a story of hope and inspiration not only for children with cancer but also for all who have ever contemplated life beyond this world.
I tried to publish her story many times with intention and rewrites hoping to help those who needed to hear it. I finally settled on keeping her words intact, just as she relayed them. This was her gift.
I have added my experience with “Life Beyond” of synchronicities surrounding her passing that left me with comfort and hope that life continues once we leave these temporary bodies that house our expansive spirits. I hope you find comfort here as well.
