Dear Bereaved Parent,

Bereaved Mother’s Day is a response to “Happy Mother’s Day.”

It is a day to acknowledge that being a mother can carry tremendous heartache.

I have a bit of resistance to this separation from Mother’s Day. You can read more about that here.

It doesn’t solve the problem of next week’s overwhelming marketing of “Happy Mother’s Day.”

But it does provide a bit of solace to be seen.
